Andrew Schmidt

I am a sophomore Computer Science Engineering student at the University of Michigan.  I am conducting research with Dr. August Evrard, where I am leading image manipulation efforts to identify the center of galactic clusters in thousands of Dark Energy Survey photos. I am also a member of UMIGV (UM Intelligent Ground Vehicle), which is a project team aimed at building and programming an autonomous car.

I am also a photographer, a hockey fan, and a tech enthusiast.

I am seeking an internship related to computer science for next summer (2018). My interests include AI, big data, computer security, and image processing.
